Nora Ephron was right. Writing is hard. 

And that's exactly why I decided to start The Messy Essay. The Messy Essay is an individualized approach to the writing process. I meet with you to determine your needs and goals. Do you need help narrowing down your topics? Do you need help meeting the word count requirement? Are you struggling with making your story engaging and memorable? 

Each Messy Essay appointment is geared to help you draft a memorable, engaging and effective essay. During the writing process, I utilize Google docs to help with questions, editing and brainstorming. 

Many students hire college counselors to help them navigate the application process. College counselors can  identify the right college for you, help with application deadlines, scholarship opportunities, etc. 

The Messy Essay is not a college counselor. The Messy Essay focuses only on writing the perfect essay.
